Residents Asked to Vote for New Hotel in Elizabeth City


On the June 5 ballot, residents of Elizabeth City will be asked to vote on whether public funds should be used for a new downtown hotel and convention center. The reason for voting for the approval is because there is no specific recommendation for such a project. Although city commission members approve the project, Coordinator of Elections, Bailey Throckton, said the public must vote on it. (read more)
